In a recent survey, members of the Society for Research in Child Development, the International Society on Infant Studies, and the Cognitive Development Society voted Dr. Anthony DeCasper’s landmark paper, “Of Human Bonding: Newborns Prefer their Mothers’ Voices” (1980) as the 15th most important paper in the study of child psychology since 1960. Dr. DeCasper is a former Department Head and Emeritus Professor of Psychology.
