Dr. Levi Baker‘s research has been featured in Psychology Today. The coverage focuses on a project by Baker and his colleagues on relationship commitment. In contrast to theories of close relationships that suggest that people are more committed to their relationships when they are happy in the moment, Baker’s work demonstrates that current happiness isn’t as important as expected happiness in the future; people remain committed to their relationships, despite being currently unhappy, if they believe that the relationships will make them happy in the future.
