UNC Greensboro Psychology doctoral student Shae Nester is the winner of the 2025 Dr. Christine Blasey Ford Grant. The award will provide $3,750 to fund their dissertation project entitled, “A laboratory and ambulatory investigation of trauma-related dissociation, interoceptive accuracy, and interoceptive attention.” The project is conducted under the direction of Dr. Blair Wisco of the COPE Lab. Shae has been a prolific publisher of scientific research both as a master’s student at Towson University and as a doctoral student at UNC Greensboro. Their scientific publications have already been cited over 180 times according to Google Scholar.
This is a competitive grant from the American Psychological Foundation awarded to one graduate student or early career researcher each year to fund research on the consequences of exposure to sexual violence. Read more about the Dr. Christine Blasey Ford grant.
