Graduate Admissions
Program Selection
Terminal MA Program
Select Master of Arts (MA) in Psychology with a concentration in General Experimental Psychology. Note: the department does NOT offer a Terminal MA degree in Clinical Psychology.
Doctoral Program
If you seek entry into the doctoral program and will NOT have a Psychology master’s degree at the time of enrollment, select Master of Arts (MA) in Psychology (Doctoral Track) and select a doctoral track preference (Clinical, Cognitive, Developmental, or Social Psychology). In this track, you will earn an MA and automatically proceed toward a PhD.
If you seek entry into the doctoral program and will have a Psychology master’s degree at the time of enrollment, select Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and select a doctoral track preference (Clinical, Cognitive, Developmental, or Social Psychology). For students applying to the Clinical Program, only a master’s degree in clinical psychology that required supervised practicum training allows one to directly enter the doctoral track. Admitted students who do not have this training will complete MA requirements in clinical psychology before proceeding toward a PhD.
