Clinical graduate student Shae Nester (Faculty mentor: Dr. Blair Wisco) recently received two honors from the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation. Shae received the 2026 Pierre Janet Writing Award. This award signifies the best clinical, theoretical or research paper in the field of dissociative and/or trauma within the past year. Shae also received the 2026 Staff Spotlight Award. This award recognizes staff or volunteers whose behind-the-scenes contributions significantly support ISSTD’s mission. These awards recognize Shae’s contributions to the literature as well as a more general commitment to the society’s mission to advance clinical, scientific, and societal understanding of chronic trauma and dissociation.
