To many undergraduates, graduate school seems mysterious. What’s it all about? How do you know what you want to study? Is it even fun? Psychology graduate students recently held an event in collaboration with NC A&T’s Association of Black Psychologists to answer these and other questions. This “Day in the Life” event featured a panel discussion, a campus tour, and, importantly, lunch provided by the department. About 30 undergraduates attended this event.
The department would like to send a big thank you to clinical psychology student Jack Rubacka for organizing the event! We’d also like to recognize current graduate student panelists Emily Heinlein, Larissa Britto, Sam Agbeh, and Julian Madrigal. These students worked quickly to put on a thoughtful and smoothly run event. These events are important to give back to the community and to make undergraduates more aware of their options after they earn their diplomas.
