About The PSY CLINIC

a training clinic

The UNCG Psychology Clinic is a training clinic where graduate students pursuing a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology provide services under the supervision of licensed psychologists and health service providers in North Carolina. At this time, all supervisors at our clinic are also faculty members in the Psychology department. To ensure the highest quality of care, supervision includes digital recording of sessions and close monitoring of services.

We provide therapy and assessment services for children, adolescents, and adults in the Greensboro and surrounding areas of the Piedmont Triad in North Carolina. While we accept clients who are affiliated with UNCG, we proudly serve our broader community, as well!

Our clinic specializes in comprehensive psychological evaluations and time-limited, evidence-based treatment, with most therapy cases concluding within 16 sessions or fewer.

our approach to clinical care

Our clinicians

Each of our clinicians (therapists and assessors) is an esteemed graduate student pursuing their Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. They provide services under the close supervision of licensed psychologists and health service providers in North Carolina. We have approximately 20 clinicians who work at the clinic, part-time, in addition to engaging in coursework, research, and may be providing clinical services at other local partnering agencies. A small number of our clinicians who have already completed their masters’ degree requirements are also licensed as psychological associates in NC and credentialed with Medicaid.
As described above, all our clinicians are trained to provide clinical care to all ages from children through older adults, though they have opportunities to specialize in working with specific populations or presenting concerns as they advance in the program.
Clinic staff and supervisors work intentionally to match clients to clinicians and supervisor teams who are best-suited to meet their needs.

Our Clinical Supervisors

All clinical supervisors are licensed psychologists and health service providers in North Carolina.
At this time, all supervisors are also faculty members of the Clinical Psychology program at UNCG.
Note: To ensure the highest quality of care, supervision includes digital recording of sessions and close monitoring of services.
