Clinical psychology graduate students receive a variety of learning experiences that serve the greater Greensboro community. One of those experiences involves providing in-school therapy. Immigrant and refugee students at the two Guilford County Newcomers Schools will continue to receive school-based therapy services through June 2026, thanks to a contract renewal with Guilford County Schools (PIs=Rosemery Nelson-Gray and Susan Keane). Since 2010, therapy services have been provided on-site by supervised clinical psychology doctoral students to Newcomers students (with parental consent) for example, for trauma to self or family members, acculturation difficulties, or family reunification issues.
