The Department of Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro invites applications for a tenure-track position in Social-Personality Psychology (Assistant Professor level), to begin August 1, 2018. The Department of Psychology consists of 25 full-time faculty and offers a BA and BS in psychology, an MA in General Experimental Psychology, and a Ph.D. in clinical, cognitive, developmental, and social psychology (See http://psychology.uncg.edu for more information).
We are seeking someone to join an active and collaborative research department. Candidates must hold or anticipate a Ph.D. by August 1, 2018 and should demonstrate strong potential for securing external funding. All applicants should have a clear commitment to graduate and undergraduate teaching and to working with students from diverse backgrounds and should show evidence of a strong independent research program. Researchers with interests related to stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination are particularly encouraged to apply. Additional consideration will be given to candidates interested in teaching statistics at the graduate and undergraduate levels. The department has excellent research resources, such as a diverse research participation pool, equipment and systems for a wide array of research methods (e.g., eye-tracking, ERP, ESM), and a research-dedicated neuroimaging facility.
