Psychology graduate students seated around a table sharing a meal for Friendsgiving

Graduate students in the Psychology Department are passionate about their research and the work they do in the lab. However, even the most dedicated scholars deserve a moment to relax and connect. To foster community and camaraderie, the Psychology Department’s Diversity, Inclusion, Culture, and Equity (DICE) Club and the Association for Graduate Students in Psychology (AGSP) came together to co-host a festive Friendsgiving potluck for graduate students.

Held on the Monday after the holiday break, the event provided a much-needed opportunity for students to gather around a makeshift dining table and enjoy good food and great company.

“This is hopefully the beginning of a new tradition for graduate students in the psychology department,” said Brandi McDonald, AGSP President. While AGSP traditionally serves as a liaison between the faculty and graduate students, the organization has recently expanded its role by hosting a series of student-led events designed to build stronger connections and foster a sense of community.
