Graduate school is a challenging journey filled with rigorous coursework and demanding research. But it doesn’t have to be all work and no play; many students form some of their most cherished friendships during this transformative time. To kick off the semester on a lighthearted note, the Association for Graduate Students in Psychology (AGSP) hosted their inaugural “Tea-sis & Dessert-ation Committee Meeting.”
AGSP President Brandi McDonald expressed her excitement about the event, saying, “AGSP kicked off the semester with a bagel-filled study hall, stuffed with conversation, food, and work!” The fun-filled (and pun-filled?) breakfast gathering fostered a sense of community and encouraged students to share ideas and support one another in their academic pursuits. The primary mission of AGSP is to enhance the educational and professional experiences of graduate students in Psychology at UNCG. Events like these where students can share ideas and opinions help make every student feel heard and valued within the department.
