Dr. Gabriela (Gaby) Livas Stein is the recipient of the 2020-21 UNCG Junior Research Excellence Award. This award recognizes significant scholarly contributions among Assistant and Associate level professors.
Livas-Stein is the Director of the Caminos Lab; her research centers on the examination of familial cultural values in Latinx families and their impact on the development of Latinx youth, identification of risk and resilience factors for Latinx and minority youth, and determining ways to increase mental health treatment access for Latinx families.
She will be recognized for this achievement at the virtual Faculty Awards Ceremony, which will be held on April 7, 2021.
