Stress and Us: Life adversity by other names. Two people work together to pull a third up a mountain with the sun setting in the distance.

Join the Psychology Department November 7, 2024 at UNC Greensboro’s Elliott University Center for a scholarly discussion of “Stress & Us: Life Adversity by Other Names.” It is free and open to the public, and free parking is available in the Walker Deck. There is a panel discussion from 2-4 PM featuring presentations and discussions from four North Carolina scholars that highlight the insidious ways that discrimination impacts our lives, communities, and health, and offers solutions about what we can do about it. The panel is followed by a keynote address from 5:30-6:45 PM with Dr. David R. Williams of Harvard Univerity entitled, “Reducing health inequality: The need for a renewed emphasis on innovative solutions.” Learn more at https://cas.uncg.edu/hels
